ServiceNet Represents at Franklin County Pride Parade

Over 35 members of the ServiceNet community came out to march together as part of the Franklin County Pride Parade in Greenfield on Saturday, June 10.

Organized by ServiceNet’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, our parade presence was bigger than ever, and included a float that had been specially built for this event. The float was decorated with clouds that had been created by a variety of programs, including the Enrichment Center, Rooster Café, DBIS, REACH Early Intervention, and more.

Designed by staff member Andrew Drewnowski, the float was assembled by Prospect Meadow Farm staff member Dave Jackson, who also pulled the float by tractor during the parade.

Clients and staff from various programs rode on the float. DJ Pinkie, a ServiceNet community member who has played music at several DBIS events, kept the crowd energized as they marched, while others handed out stickers, candy, and a few hugs.

The parade started at Greenfield Middle School, then finished at the Energy Park with a speech by Congressman Jim McGovern and a full afternoon of events, food, and music.

Thank you to all who participated! For more pictures from the event, please see our Facebook or Instagram pages.
