A day program supporting people with brain injuries to live their lives to the fullest.
How We Help
The Enrichment Center is dedicated to empowering individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) and helping them build a strong sense of community and fulfillment.
Recognizing each participant’s unique talents and interests, our activities and therapies are designed to promote learning, social interaction, and a feeling of belonging.
Together, we embrace the power of community and mutual support as we embark on a path of personal growth and shared success.
Social programming is flexible and dynamic, and participants choose from an array of activities at the centers and in their communities. These can include:
- Support groups
- Social events
- Crafts, board games, and yoga
- Music and dance sessions
- Computer skills, games, and online research
- Bowling, museums, and movie theater trips
- Sporting events and restaurants
- Equestrian and cycling therapy
Physical, occupational, and speech therapy are provided as needed, and are overseen by licensed professionals.
We are affiliated with educational programs from local colleges and universities; including Westfield State University, Springfield College, Bay Path University, and Western New England University.
Through these schools and others, we offer several internship opportunities at the Enrichment Center in Chicopee, ranging from one-day shadowing experiences to full-time rotations. Our interns work with their assigned supervisor to learn the skills and responsibilities related to their specific area of focus. We offer structured observation, mentorship, and hands-on practice.
