Prospect Meadow Farm Brings Spooky Fun to the Community

A group photo of diverse people in different halloween costume.ServiceNet’s Prospect Meadow Farm made an incredible haunted house experience for so many people. Over the weekend of the 24th, the farm hosted three events: a sensory-friendly kids’ night, an evening for farm participants and their families, and a truly spooky night for adults. Together, the events welcomed over 170 attendees.

The goal was to create an experience that participants could be proud of and take ownership in, while having a lot of fun.

The farmhands were involved every step of the way—creating the haunted house storyline, building and decorating, and volunteering at the events. The Skillbuilders Makerspace + program also put in a lot of great work creating spooky decorations for the event.

Team members working with participants said everyone was engaged and excited to work on the project.

Farm hands have already asked when they can do the event again. Prospect Meadow Farms is hoping to make the haunted house an annual fundraising event and has already begun planning for next year. They’re working on making it even more accessible for farm hands and their families.
