PeoplesBank: Growing for Good Campaign Sponsor Spotlight

PeoplesBank

Harvest Sponsor

PeoplesBankInvesting their profits in the community is part of a mutual bank’s core purpose. Each year, PeoplesBank provides direct funding to hundreds of area non-profits, while their associates volunteer thousands of hours serving on local boards and engaging in community service projects.

At PeoplesBank, they live by the adage that “for a bank to do well, the people need to do well.” And the Vocational Training & Production Center at Prospect Meadow Farm checked all the boxes for them, given its impact on fueling the job force and contributing to long-term economic development.

What is the Growing for Good Campaign?

ServiceNet’s Growing for Good Campaign is a fundraising campaign to support Prospect Meadow Farm’s new Vocational Training and Production Center.

With the generous support of our sponsors and donors, as well as a $595,000 grant from the state’s Executive Office of Housing & Economic Development, ServiceNet’s Prospect Meadow Farm—a therapeutic vocational farming program for individuals with developmental disability, autism, or brain injury—is transforming the 3,200 square-foot residential farmhouse located at 103 Prospect Street in Hatfield into a modern vocational training and production center.

Updates include a modern, fully equipped commercial production kitchen and food packaging center, dedicated space for the farm’s pre-vocational program, expanded classroom space, an outdoor pavilion, and much more. These significant upgrades will enhance and expand participants’ experience, increase our ability to offer more services to more people, and prepare the farm for decades more of supporting our participants to live their lives to the fullest.
