Shaping Soles Donates 100 Pairs of Winter-Ready Shoes to ServiceNet Shelters

The non-profit Shaping Soles has donated 100 pairs of winter-ready shoes to ServiceNet’s Shelter and Housing Division. These shoes will help individuals and families at ServiceNet’s shelters in Pittsfield and Greenfield stay warm during the upcoming winter.

Erin Forbush, Director of ServiceNet’s Shelter and Housing Division, expressed gratitude for the timely donation, emphasizing its crucial role in protecting the vulnerable from the harsh New England weather. “Footwear is always one of the most needed items,” Forbush said. “And the winter months are a critical time to ensure every person has shoes and other key necessities to stay warm and safe.”

Shaping Soles is committed to providing footwear to community members in need. Since it was founded in December 2022 by Chris Goossens, Shaping Soles has donated over 1,000 pairs of shoes across Western Massachusetts.
