River Valley Counseling Center Tees Up for Youth Mental Health at 11th Annual Golf Tournament

River Valley Counseling Center (RVCC), a member of ServiceNet, will hold its 11th Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, Sept. 18, at East Mountain Country Club in Westfield, and the stakes are more than a good round of golf.
All proceeds will directly support RVCC’s youth mental health programs, including the Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) and School-Based Outpatient Therapy Services. Both programs are designed to meet young people where they are, sending therapists into homes and placing them inside local schools so that more families can get the support they need. For many children and teens, these programs are the difference between getting help or going without.
“CBHI and our school-based therapy services are among the most essential programs we offer,” said Dr. Elaine Campbell, Senior Vice President of Clinical Services. “They meet young people and families at some of the most challenging moments of their lives, and they do it without asking families to navigate barriers they often cannot overcome on their own. Every dollar raised at this event goes directly toward making sure those programs remain strong and accessible to the young people who need them most.”
The cost per golfer is $125 and includes golf cart rental, lunch, dinner, and prizes. There will also be a raffle and contests on the course. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. “shotgun start,” meaning all groups will tee off simultaneously. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
RVCC became a member organization of ServiceNet in 2025; in 2026, all ServiceNet outpatient clinics joined RVCC, making it one of the largest providers of community mental health services in Western Massachusetts. The combined outpatient clinics have been named Best of the Valley two years running by the Valley Advocate‘s annual Best of the Valley Readers’ Poll.
