Meet Meg Moran, Hampshire County Director of Family Empowerment

Meg Moran is excited to step into her new role as Hampshire County Director of Family Empowerment!

Meg graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. While attending school full-time, she also worked for the Town of Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department as a basketball referee and coach for children ages 5–14. Her focus was on creating an inclusive space where neurodivergent children could grow both socially and athletically. At just 21, Meg became the youngest elected official in the history of Connecticut’s Department of Education, serving on the Region 19 Board of Education—the very high school community she once attended. During her time there, she worked to introduce life-skills coursework, with a special focus on supporting neurodivergent students who were struggling within traditional classroom environments.

Before joining ServiceNet, Meg continued to expand her skills at a level 5, maximum-security residential care and juvenile detention facility for teen girls, where she ran Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) sessions to help address trauma and support self-sufficiency. After relocating from Connecticut to Massachusetts, she joined ServiceNet’s Autism Connections team (formerly Pathlight) in May 2022 as the Autism Waiver Program Coordinator. In January 2025, she transitioned into her current role with Family Empowerment, bringing her dedication and expertise to Hampshire County families.

Outside of work, Meg is an aficionado of jazz music, law, body art, animals, uranium glass, and quirky facts that may someday come in handy. She enjoys rugby, basketball, running, camping, road trips, and spending time with her three fur babies, friends, and family.
