ServiceNet Plans to Reopen Pittsfield Warming Center in November

The First United Methodist Church in Pittsfield.
ServiceNet is preparing to reopen its overnight warming center at First United Methodist Church in Pittsfield in mid-November, as reported in an October 15 article in iBerkshires.
The center, located next to ServiceNet’s Pearl shelter, would operate from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., offering people experiencing homelessness a warm place to spend the night and get hot coffee or cocoa. ServiceNet is also seeking state funding that would allow the center to open earlier on Sundays, when other public spaces are often unavailable.
ServiceNet is seeking donations of warm clothing, blankets, and towels to support the effort.
