Developmental & Brain Injury Services Annual Picnic Celebrates Community
ServiceNet’s Developmental & Brain Injury Services (DBIS) division held its annual picnic at Look Park in Northampton on July 18.
Over 300 staff and individuals from ServiceNet’s 100+ group homes and shared living placements, Enrichment Center, work crews, and outreach services gathered to celebrate with delicious food, dancing, music provided by DJ Pinkie, and more. The weather was beautiful, adding to the joyful atmosphere of the event.
A new highlight this year was the presence of ServiceNet’s Strive Clinic team, who brought their services to the picnic, offering appointments and support on-site. Special thanks to the DBIS nursing team who took the lead on food prep, ensuring everyone had plenty of options to enjoy.
ServiceNet’s DBIS division provides residential, rehabilitative, and social support for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and brain injuries, supporting them in living their lives as independently as possible.
“The annual picnic is a testament to the strength and closeness of our community,” says Elaine Sibley, senior director of operations in DBIS. “It’s a day where everyone comes together to celebrate our achievements and the connections we’ve built. We are committed to not only providing essential support but also creating meaningful experiences that enrich the lives of those we serve.”
