ServiceNet’s Virtual 2020 Breakfast to End Homelessness
We had been looking forward to seeing you at ServiceNet’s 2020 Breakfast to End Homelessness on March 31st. And then things changed – for everyone.
So please sit back with your coffee or tea and spend a few minutes with us now. We hope you will be as inspired as we are by the stories you’ll hear, and by the work our shelter staff is doing. Even now. Especially now.
Helping people find their way out of homelessness – for good.
People who are homeless are at high risk every day, unsure of the future every day. Since COVID-19, their situation has become even more difficult.
What hasn’t changed is ServiceNet’s continuing presence with our homeless population. We’re still here to welcome and support our guests, offering them a warm place to rest for the night, have dinner and breakfast, take a shower, do laundry.
Our staff have been unwavering in their commitment, and our guests have stepped up, too – working together to keep the shelters as clean and safe as possible.
Challenged by facilities that aren’t large enough for social distancing, we’re working in partnership with the cities of Pittsfield, Northampton, and Greenfield to develop additional alternatives – including places for people to recover when they need to be quarantined.
It’s taking time, and it’s taking resources. Yet our continuing focus remains the same: to help our guests find their way out of homelessness for good.
Meet our shelter team and hear the stories of Rose and Tim, staff members who know what it’s like on both sides of our open door.
Our individual shelter programs are funded by the state at just 65% of budget so raising the balance is our most pressing community fundraising need.
- ServiceNet is the only provider of individual shelters in Berkshire and Franklin Counties, and the major provider in Hampshire County.
- By offering people a safe place to stay for up to several months, we give them the time and support they need to figure out their next steps: from securing permanent housing, to finding a job and/or seeking further education.
- Some of that support may also include other ServiceNet services, such as outpatient counseling, addiction and recovery services, and mental health support.
Please join us in offering hope – the second, third, or fourth chance that makes all the difference!

RP Masiello Inc. broke ground for the first time in 1976. Since then we have built over 11 million square feet of commercial and industrial space from Maine to Pennsylvania. Most importantly, we have built trusted relationships with our clients, helping them to grow by building or renovating their business again and again.
We know we’ve delivered value and quality when a client invites us back for another project. It’s not in our nature to appear boastful, so we rely on the facts to tell our story.
And the facts are:
- More than 90 percent of our portfolio is repeat business or direct referral from a client
- After completing a first project, more than 100 clients have awarded RPM a major new building or renovation/expansion project within 5 years
- More than 40 clients have awarded RPM 2 or more buildings
- More than 10 clients have awarded RPM 5 or more buildings
