DESCRIPTION:Tour the TMS suite\, learn more about how TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) works\, and meet our medical director and TMS staff. \nThis event is FREE and open to the public\, no RSVP required. \nLight refreshments will be served.   \n  \n\n TMS is a safe\, effective non-drug therapy\, approved by the FDA to treat symptoms of depression in people who have not responded to medication. Its magnetic pulses gently stimulate specific areas of the brain that are underactive in people with depression.\n\n  \n\nServiceNet is the first and only Community Mental Health Center in western Massachusetts to offer TMS treatment for depression. In March\, 2019\, we opened the TMS Service at our Northampton Outpatient Clinic\, and in October 2019 expanded to Greenfield.\n\n

DESCRIPTION:The Western Massachusetts Hoarding Task Force will be hosting a conference to educate the community about addressing and supporting individuals with Hoarding Disorder. Leading educators in the field will provide the latest clinical developments in the diagnosis and treatment of hoarding disorder.  Attendees will learn about peer support and recovery from people living with hoarding disorder by experienced peer advocates and trainers.  We will explore ways to maintain housing stability including harm reduction efforts to meet building code\, and reasonable accommodations required by tenancy laws.  We will address the impacts of stigma on communities and individuals living with hoarding disorder.  Additionally\, attendees will learn how to build trusting personal/professional relationships with people living with hoarding disorder. \nPlease stay tuned for updates and a registration link in the near future.
